Magellan’s Seventh Annual Computer Giveaway Program is Now Closed

How many computers is Magellan giving away? Magellan is giving away 300 computers at this time. This year's program will provide 280 computers to service recipients and family members involved in their recovery as well as 20 to peer/family run and provider agencies.

Who can apply? People currently receiving services through Magellan of Arizona and/or one of its contracted providers and family members involved with their recovery are eligible to apply.

How do I apply? Fill out and turn in the completed application form and the memorandum of understanding along with answers to the essay questions. Each answer must be no more than 500 words, typed inTimes New Roman 12-point fontor one page PRINTED (handwritten in neat block print; NOT cursive). (Clarification: no more than 500 words for Question A and no more than 500 words for Question B for a total of no more than 1,000 words per application).

How will I know if I won or didn’t win? If you are selected to get a computer, you will get a letter letting you know when and where you can pick it up. If you are NOT selected to get a computer, you will get a letter letting you know that you were not selected.

What is the application schedule?

  • Applications available: Saturday, June 1, 2013
  • Application deadline: Monday, July 1, 2013, by 5 p.m.
  • Applications reviewed and approved by committee: Monday, July 1- Wednesday, July 31, 2013                               
  • Notification letters mailed to all applicants: Monday, August 19, 2013

Request for Proposals: Peer/Family-Run and Provider Agencies

Magellan seeks peer/family-run and provider agencies to submit proposals (Proposal) to the Magellan Health Services of Arizona Community Reinvestment Computer Giveaway 2013 Request for Proposals (RFP).

Magellan is committed to giving back to our community and dedicated to promoting recovery and resiliency for service recipients. With this in mind, Magellan developed its annual Computer Giveaway Program to provide service recipients and involved family members the opportunity to apply to receive a free computer. This year, Magellan will give away approximately 280 computers to current service recipients and family members involved with their recovery

In addition, because peer/family-run and provider agencies are essential to our community and the recovery and resiliency process for recipients, Magellan will grant approximately20 computersto agencies that have a valid and current contract with Magellan of Arizona.

The computers granted to peer/family-run and provider agencies should be placed in a lobby or community room. The computers must be available for use by the community, service recipients and family members of service recipients to help them achieve their recovery and resiliency goals.

APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY: Eligible applicants include current behavioral health peer/family-run and provider agencies that have a valid and current contract with Magellan of Arizona.
