As the state-contracted Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), we are pleased to be able to help children and adults in Maricopa County. Magellan is firmly committed to building a RBHA for Maricopa County that is community-driven a model that is focused on recovery and resiliency and is accountable for superior program outcomes. Magellan is committed to giving back to the community we serve. With this in mind we have committed to give away computers to the community on a yearly basis.
In January 2008 Magellan will give away approximately 100 computers to service recipients and family members involved with their recovery and an additional 100 computers to peer and family run agencies. An additional 300 computers will be given away later in 2008.
Magellan of Arizona Computer Program
The Magellan Computer Program Fall 2008 application process is now open. There are two parts to this program: 1) for people currently receiving services through Magellan of Arizona and/or one of its contracted providers and family members involved with their recovery and 2) for current behavioral health peer/family run and provider agencies, located in Maricopa County, that have a valid and current contract with Magellan of Arizona.

Who Can Apply?
People currently receiving services through Magellan of Arizona and/or one of its contracted providers and family members involved with their recovery are eligible to apply.
How Do I Apply?
Fill out and turn in the completed application form and the memorandum of understanding along with answers to the essay questions. Each answer must be 500 words or less, typed in Times New Roman 12 point font or one page PRINTED (handwritten in neat block print; NOT cursive). (Clarification: 500 words for Question A and 500 words for Question B for a total of 1000 words per application.)

Thank you for your interest in Magellan of Arizona sponsorship. Please see below for sponsorship request criteria and submission instructions. There are no specific grant deadlines. Contribution requests are reviewed on an on-going basis; there is no specific deadline. The review process typically takes six weeks.
What you need to know about Magellan of Arizona
Magellan of Arizona believes in delivering programs for Maricopa County based on our core values of:

As the Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) for Maricopa County, we are proud and happy to help the children and adults of our community. Through a system of provider network organizations (PNOs), we serve over 70,000 members in Maricopa County, with outreach to 500,000 individuals within our network of care. We provide a wide range of services from crisis assistance to housing programs to children's services and substance abuse treatment.
Criteria
Magellan of Arizona is committed to improving behavioral health services in Maricopa County. With that in mind Magellan of Arizona will only consider sponsorship of:
- Organizations that are nonprofit, tax-exempt public charities as defined in Sections 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
- Organizations/Events that serve the behavioral health community
- Organizations/Events that are targeted to behavioral health audience (i.e. providers, service recipients, stakeholders, family members, employees, etc.), and
- Organizations/Events that create awareness and/or provide educational opportunities about behavioral health issues
- Events should be operationally effective and cost efficient
Additional consideration:
- Organizations that serve ethnically diverse populations
- Organization/Events that reach a significantly large audience (i.e. in excess of 1,000 individuals)
Magellan of Arizona does not fund:
- Individual requests
- Charter or private schools
- Travel related or hotel expenses
- Private or family foundations
- Private non-profit organizations
- Salaries and/or debt reduction
- Private corporations/entities
- Governmental organizations
- Organizations whose services are not provided within Maricopa County
- Religious activities or church-sponsored programs limited to church membership
- Debt-reduction campaigns
Use of Magellan of Arizona Logo
Magellan of Arizona will provide approved logos. Logo use and/or mention of the Magellan of Arizona name should appear on all event or program promotions, including but not limited to:
- Print materials, including: posters, signage, billboards and merchandise
- Broadcast, including: television, radio and cable interactive, on-line listings and/or banners
Additionally, Magellan must approve any promotional materials created using the provided logo. Please submit these materials to Magellan's community relations department at MaricopaCommunityRelations@MagellanHealth.com to begin the approval process.
