Outreach Programs
Magellan will use different tools and strategies to inform service recipients and family members about the range of behavioral health services and supports available through the RBHA. Our goal is to engage and refer individuals who need services. Since contract award in June 2007, Magellan has hosted community forums, developed peer and family transition ambassadors, and has met with service providers and community groups.
Promotional Materials
Magellan has created a series of printed, promotional materials to help better inform the Maricopa County community about the services Magellan offers, how to access those services and Magellan's goals as the RBHA. In addition to making them available at Magellan events, we also provide them here in an electronic form for your convenience. Please check back often to see what we have to offer. If you have any questions about any of these promotional materials or would like printed versions for an event or meeting, please e-mail MaricopaCommunityRelations@MagellanHealth.com

Community Developers
Magellan created the position of community developer to reach out directly to the residents of Maricopa County, targeting various populations by identifying their needs and educating them about services available. Our goal is to engage these populations within their respective communities as a way to strengthen the Maricopa County community as a whole.
Community developers give presentations throughout the county to educate individuals, groups and organizations on the RBHA and its funded services. If you would like to arrange a presentation, please contact us at MaricopaCommunityRelations@MagellanHealth.com.
Information Materials
We have prepared a range of materials for service recipients and family members. These include our Member Handbook, a Guide for Family Members, and weekly updates that are distributed to direct care clinics and other provider sites at the beginning of every week.
Outreach to Traditionally Underserved Communities
Magellan is in the process of contracting with People of Color Network (PCN) to host four community forums to outreach to ethnic minority communities. Check this site often to find out more information.
Participation in Local Health Fairs
Magellan welcomes the opportunity to participate in health fairs. We can send staff to your event or provide information and assistance regarding behavioral health services available through the RBHA. Contact Magellan Community Exchange at CommunityExchange@MagellanHealth.com, if you would like your event to be added to our outreach schedule. Thank you.
Collaboration with State, County, and Human Service Organizations
Magellan works closely with these organizations to make sure they have up-to-date information about services and supports in the RBHA. We also work hand-in-hand with them to coordinate care for RBHA members who are involved with different agencies.
RBHA Advisory Committees
Magellan has formed several advisory committees to help us build a strong and effective service delivery system for members. Find out more about our Advisory Committees and submit an application to become a member.
