Maricopa County Regional Behavioral Health Authority Governance Board Charter

Magellan is firmly committed to building a RBHA for central Arizona, which includes Maricopa County and part of Pinal County, that is community-driven - a model that is focused on recovery and resiliency and is accountable for superior program outcomes.

To deliver on that promise, Magellan has established a 12-member Magellan of Arizona Governance Board, consisting of six central Arizona community representatives and six Magellan representatives to give community stakeholders a true voice and shared decision-making authority in shaping the vision, strategy and oversight of the central Arizona behavioral health system.

Meeting minutes are generated from governance board meetings and are available for public viewing here on our website (www.MagellanofAZ.com/GovBoard). Magellan of Arizona holds firm to its value of transparency, which drives our desire to make this type of information as available as possible. However, before the minutes are posted, the governance board must approve the minutes from any meeting at the following meeting. Therefore, there will be a two to four week delay before minutes are posted on the website for review.

Additionally, meeting agendas are placed on the website after every governance board meeting for informational purposes. This allows anyone not able to attend to compare the agenda to the minutes and see the progress that the governance board has made. Hard copies of meeting agendas are provided for all who are in attendance at each governance board meeting.
