Advisory Committees
Adults with General Mental Health/Substance Abuse Advisory Committee
This committee is responsible for evaluating Quality Improvement issues and the way the system is working to meet the needs of people receiving General Mental Health/Substance Abuse services giving advice to the Quality Improvement Committee on ways to improve services, making sure new ways to improve General Mental Health/Substance Abuse services are used, and helping with community education.

Community Training Committee
This committee is responsible for making decisions regarding the new training programs for the Regional Behavioral Health Authority, and helping Magellan improve the training that it provides to staff and to the community.

Cultural Competency Committee
This committee is responsible for making sure that all Magellan services and programs deliver high quality care that respects the race, ethnicity, culture, and language preference of every person that receives services

Customer Service Committee
This committee is responsible for improving customer service throughout Magellan, the Provider Network Organizations (PNO's) and the providers. This includes everything from telephone calls, people being able to get services, compliments and complaints, appeals, confidentiality issues, and customer satisfaction surveys. and, working closely with other committees to resolve customer service issues

Evidence-Based Best Practices Committee
This committee is responsible for identifying ways to provide services that have been proven to work well making sure that these proven ways are put in place and can be reviewed to make sure that they are working. Once a year, this committee will pick at least one proven way to start using in each part of the system (like Serious Mental Illness, Child and Adolescence, and General Mental Health and Substance Abuse programs), and will promote the use of this proven way across the entire system.

Inter-agency Committee
This committee is responsible for coordinating communication and activities between the Magellan Service Center and the community-based social service agencies acts as a connection between the Quality Improvement Committee and these agencies to make sure that information and improvement ideas are shared and used during the Quality Improvement process

Network Strategy Committee
This committee reviews and approves network development and network expansion related functions, responds to provider terminations and availability and accessibility issues, plans for short and long-term needs from the larger provider community and within the PNOs and CRN.

This committee is responsible for promoting and monitoring safe and effective prescription practice.

Professional Provider Review Committee
This committee is responsible for improving the quality and availability of providers and services of the provider network including the Provider Network Organizations (PNO's) and Crisis Response Network (CRN), Managing the credentialing, recredentialing, and privileging of all providers, professional staff and clinical liaisons, helping with the development of and carrying out of monitoring tools, schedules, and reports, and advising Magellan on ways to improve the way providers are monitored

This committee is responsible for looking after and helping with quality improvement (QI) in the service delivery system, and evaluating Magellan's performance and improvement to give advice to make positive changes. This committee reports to the Governance Board and also to the Magellan National Quality Committee (NQC.)

Utilization Management Committee
This committee is responsible for evaluating clinical programs, looking at the resources available through Magellan, the Provider Network Organizations (PNO's) and the providers to make sure that the resources are used in a way that allows the most people to receive quality services, and creating rules and procedures to improve the use of services

Committee members are dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights of individuals who receive publicly funded behavioral health services.
