With a crowd of more than 2,500 people, MY Fest's second annual event, MY Fest '09, gave youth and families the opportunity to get involved and learn about employment, volunteering, youth programs and other community activities. Upcoming Community Council Meetings

Each month, Magellan will be hosting two community council meetings in order to get input from behavioral health recipients, family members, clinicians, advocates, and others who are leaders in the community. One community council will be focused on the adult system of care and the other community council will be focused on the children's system of care. Senior staff from the RBHA will be in attendance in order to hear input, recommendations, learn about any service barriers and brainstorm solutions for overcoming those barriers.

These councils are designed to bring advocates and key leaders together in a forum to help us better understand obstacles and barriers and guide the development of shared vision and solutions for approaching these obstacles and barriers. If you have any questions about the community councils, please e-mail CommunityCouncils@MagellanHealth.com.

Behavioral Health Service Delivery for Native Americans

The Behavioral Health Service Delivery for Native Americans meeting is Magellan's vehicle to build partnerships within the Native American community to improve behavioral health service delivery for Native Americans in Maricopa County. Magellan's goal is to provide a greater level of care and outreach to Native American recipients who are seeking culturally respectful behavioral health services. These quarterly meetings are vital to improving meaningful and timely dialogue with tribal leaders and urban Indian health providers.
